“OPEN-CELL” DRYING

The herbs are dried with an innovative and technological CFT system that allows their “open-cell” dehydration. Such process prevents the cell membrane from breaking, thus preserving all of the dry plant’s properties, allowing, with rehydration, to restore the turgidity of the fresh plant, which favors the exchange between solvent and solute benefitting the quality of the infusion.

DOSAGE

Our filters contain the herbal dose that a proper herbal practice recommends for a 100 ml infusion, using the “good” parts of the plant. Since the filters have been developed primarily as a convenient and functional technical solution for the disposal of the second choices of herbal processing (surpluses, waste, small cuts, etc.), the established practice to compensate for the poor quality was the use of a higher dosage supported by synthetic flavorings and colorings. Moreover, the use of inappropriate parts of the plant (e.g. its stems) can result in considerable changes in aroma and flavor (more tannins). VALVERBE works outside of this logic because, having created the chain of filter teas, cultivates the herbs exclusively for the packaging of this product. That is why the VALVERBE Chamomile Tea in filters has over 5% essential oil and is the only one on the market with an Italian origin (south-western Piedmont).

GUARANTEED ORIGIN

VALVERBE operates according to a logic that goes from the seed to the finished product, ensuring a constant control over all phases of the production cycle, including the most delicate ones: the collection of the product at the right balsamic time and its drying.

WIRE STAPLES

Our filters do not contain wire staples.

BACTERIAL LOAD CONTROL – DRY THERMIC TREATMENT

To sanitize its herbs, Valverbe performs a cycle of abatement of the bacterial load with a silo heated at 115°C which takes the mixture of herbs at a temperature of about 80°C for 3 minutes. This process does not harm the organoleptic properties and the active ingredients of the plants since it works in the absence of moisture (compared to regular saturated steam systems). The processed product is packed in 10 kg disposable bags ready to be packaged.

QUALITY/PRICE RATIO

Valverbe filtered herbal teas have an excellent quality-price ratio thanks to low productive costs.

ORGANIC, OGM-FREE PRODUCT

Certification and traceability of the product in all its phases. All Valverbe tea blends are OGM-free.

ENERGY SOURCES

VALVERBE chose a 27 KWP photovoltaic system, so that the energy required for drying and packaging does not contribute to increase pollution: ORGANIC and ECO-FRIENDLY herbal teas.

ORGANIC COTTON THREAD

A customer care reflecting a philosophy of life, but also a coherent response to the fact that cotton cultivations are among those most treated with pesticides and their harmfulness increases during the dressing phase, in which, notoriously, heavy, highly toxic mineral oils are used.

MOUNTAIN PRODUCT

In the Alpine valleys surrounding the Monviso VALVERBE grows, dries and packages its filtered herbal teas.
